What do WE do on a tune-up?
Our qualified service technicians go through an extensive checklist. Here's a glimpse of what we do:
FURNACE 26 Point Task List:
1. Inspect proper thermostat operation
2. Heat anticipator check
3. Air filter and size inspection
4. Check blower motor operation
5. Lubricate blower motor if applicable
6. Blower belt check if applicable
7. Inspect blower wheel
8. Clean burners and burner compartment
9. Video the heat exchanger with camera
10. Check electrical connections
11. Inspect low voltage wiring
12. Test safety controls operation
13. Inspect all drain lines in high efficiency units
14. Clean pilot assembly and orifice
15. Check and adjust gas pressure
16. Cycle gas valve check performance
17. Use OHM meter to test the hot surface ignitor
18. Check blower motor capacitor
19. Adjust combustion air if needed
20. Record, clean & inspect flame proving sensor
21. Record and inspect temperature rise
22. Inspect flue and draft
23. Use detector to check gas lines for leaks
24. Inspect the ductwork
25. Record and perform CO test
26. Clean the exterior of the unit
BOILER 22 Point Task List:

4. Lubricate and inspect bearing for wear
5. Inspect indoor coil if accessible
6. Inspect condensate drain
7. Inspect condenser coil
8. Monitor operating pressures of refrigerant
9. Inspect safety devices for proper operation
10. Inspect disconnect box for proper rating and installation
11. Tighten all electrical connections
12. Test/inspect contactors for burned, pitted contacts
13. Inspect electrical for exposed wiring
14. Test and inspect capacitors
15. Inspect fan blade
16. Clean condenser coil/remove debris
17. Inspect service valves for proper operation
18. Measure temperature difference-supply return
19. Inspect duct work for energy loss
20. Monitor compressor for proper amperage, volt draw and wiring connections
HUMIDIFIER: Check Wiring - Check Water Supply - Check Drain Line - Check Damper & Humidistat - Check Water Panel / Replace if necessary
ELECTRONIC AIR CLEANER: Check Wiring - Check Voltage - Check Pre-Filter & Cells / Clean if necessary
